Cave Spring Vineyard Wedding in Niagara Ontario | David & Luisa

Funny story, I actually knew the bride & groom in highschool and they just so happened to come across my Instagram account by accident to find out I was a wedding photographer – it was the best kind of high school reunion! There is also something wonderful to be said about understanding all the inside jokes during the speeches too.

Now, I’m a lover of wine, and I’m sure a handful of you are as well. My one recommendation for any guest - or the guest of honour - getting married at this Ontario wedding venue is to make your vineyard wedding a weekend long event! There are endless amounts of award winning wineries in the area that you could easily make a whole weekend of it. Not to mention the amount of wine buses that tour you around – no need to find a DD!

About Cave Spring Vineyard

Cave Spring Vineyard is a prominent winery nestled in the Niagara region of Ontario's wine country. With a legacy spanning generations, it's renowned for producing award-winning wines dating back to when John Pennachetti revived a small vineyard in the 1960s.

Since then, Cave Spring has remained dedicated to crafting exceptional wines while also providing a picturesque setting for many weddings. Surrounded by rolling hills and scenic landscapes, the venue provides a romantic setting for couples to exchange vows amidst the beauty of nature.

The Ceremony Spaces at Cave Spring Vineyard

Cave Spring Vineyard provides multiple ceremony space options, each with its own unique atmosphere to showcase all the vineyards has to offer.

The Vineyard Retreat: A cosy indoor farm building with a white washed walls, exposed beams and a rustic fireplace. Perfect for rainy day backup plans or weddings planned in the off season! Hosts up to 115 guests.

The Rustic Barn: A charming & historical barn featuring big doors to open your ceremony up to the fields of vines. Hosts up to 90 guests.

The Headlands Site: An outdoor space nestled in between the rows of grape vines within the vineyard. Hosts up to 90 guests.

The Escarpment Site: An outdoor space located along the Niagara Escarpment, this site features panoramic views of the entire vineyard. Hosts up to 90 guests.

Having your Reception at Inn on the Twenty

Many couples opt to host their wedding reception at the Inn on the Twenty following their ceremony at Cave Spring Vineyard.

With only a short 12 minute drive between locations combined with the accommodations options provided at the Inn, you can’t really argue on the convenience. Additionally, the transition from the lush green of Cave Spring Vineyard to the refined elegance of Inn on the Twenty provides a diverse and dynamic atmosphere for any celebration – and also a break from the heat in those scorching summer months.

You can enjoy the stunning views of the Niagara escarpment (and a gorgeous sunset) from the wall to wall windows. As a wedding photographer – this natural lighting is a dream!

Discover Ontario Wine Country while in the Niagara region!

While in the heart of Southern Ontario wine country, I would highly recommend staying an extra day to explore some of the other local & award winning vineyards in the area. Here are few of my favorites, but you also can’t go wrong with a local wine tour:

Henry of Pelham Estate Winery: A family-owned winery with a history dating back to the 1800s, Henry of Pelham produces a diverse range of wines, from sparkling to Icewine.

Thirty Bench Wine Makers: Known for its small-batch wines crafted from single-vineyard grapes.

Colaneri Estate Winery: Colaneri Estate Winery is renowned for its commitment to producing premium wines using traditional Italian winemaking techniques. Visitors can also enjoy tastings in a Tuscan-inspired setting surrounded by vineyards.

Konzelmann Estate Winery: Niagara’s only lakefront winery along Lake Ontario. It is one of the oldest wineries in the region, specializing in cool-climate wines originating from the owner’s German heritage.
